Before the global pandemic, before nation-wide protests and world-wide civil unrest, we were thinking about the state of our planet and the wonderment of space travel. The ultimate escapism. The idea of escaping our planet Earth served as the inspiration for the material and color update of our newest style, The Gail.
Stumbling upon beautiful photos taken from the Apollo Space missions in the 1960s and 70s got us thinking... could the Ultramarathon of the future be on the Earth's moon or some other planet?
Our team was inspired by the color palette in some of these rare photos, as well as the concept of weightlessness.
Working our way from the outsole upward, the colors shift from blacktop to bone white. Grounded in our signature slip-resistant 'blacktop' rubber outsole and our lightweight EVA midsole foam in a deep grey. This sneaker is one of our lightest-ever but looks firmly grounded.
For the first time ever, we have a 360-degree reflective wrap-around TPU detailing for full-visibility and stability. Gradually getting lighter with our breathable micro-air mesh in the palest moon-grey, and our four-way flex tongue in bone-white.
The final finishing touch is the back heel tab in a mineral-tan color to remind us of all the life left to explore out there. Keep exploring, wherever your journey takes you.
